Description
Angelica Root essential oil is steam distilled from the roots and stems of Angelica archangelica, grown in France. It is a pale yellow to orange oil with a warm, spicy, herbaceous aroma and woody, musky undertones, and sits as an earthy base note.
It is traditionally regarded as a grounding, restorative oil and is associated in aromatherapy with easing stress and lifting a tired mood. A little goes a long way, adding depth to woody, herbal and citrus blends. It can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so keep treated skin out of the sun for 12 hours.

Uses
- Diffuser or vaporiserAdd 2–3 drops to your diffuser or oil burner with water, ideally blended with a citrus such as bergamot or orange to lift it, or with clary sage and cedarwood for a deeper evening blend.
- BathMix 2 drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or unscented bath base first, then add it to a warm evening bath. Avoid sun on your skin for 12 hours afterwards.
- Massage and aromatherapyIf you use it in massage, aromatherapy or other skin applications, always dilute it in a carrier oil at a low level (around 0.5–1%, roughly 3–6 drops per 30ml), patch test first, and keep treated skin out of the sun for 12 hours.

Safety & storage
- For external use only. Do not take internally.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin. Always dilute in a carrier oil and patch test the diluted blend for 24 hours before full use.
- Phototoxic: avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds on treated skin for at least 12 hours after use.
- Can cause skin sensitisation. Stop using it if irritation occurs.
- Flammable. Keep away from heat and open flame.
- Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for babies and young children, unless advised by a qualified practitioner.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Storage: Store tightly capped in the original dark glass bottle, away from heat and direct sunlight.
