Description
Bakuchi Oil, also known as Babchi, is cold-pressed from the whole seeds of Psoralea corylifolia and comes from India. It's a dark red-brown oil with a strong, sweet and nutty aroma. Bakuchi has been valued for centuries in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese skin and hair care, and it's a natural source of bakuchiol, often described as a gentle plant alternative to retinol.
It's popular in evening skin care routines for helping skin look smoother and more even, and in scalp and hair care. Because it's a whole seed oil it naturally contains psoralens, which make skin more sensitive to the sun, so always dilute it 1:1 with a carrier oil and use it at night.
- Natural source of bakuchiol
- Traditionally used in Ayurvedic skin and hair care
- Popular in evening skin care routines
- Rich, nourishing whole seed oil
Pairs well with: Jojoba, argan, rosehip, lavender and frankincense
