A pair of three quarter round stones in natural black basalt, hand shaped and polished with no wax or dyes. The rounded body has a defined edge all the way around.
The broad face suits placement and slow pressure on the back, stomach and lower back, while the edge is made for gua sha style strokes and working along the thighs. A useful specialty shape to add variety to a hot stone treatment.

How to use
- HeatingHeat in a stone heater or water bath to around 50–55°C. Always test each stone on your own inner forearm before placing it on a client, and use a towel or sheet barrier for placement stones.
- In treatmentUse the broad face for warm placement and steady pressure on the back and stomach, and the edge for scraping, gua sha style strokes along the thighs and lower back.
- CareWash in warm soapy water after use, dry, then rub with a little oil to keep them dark and smooth ("seasoning"). Never heat stones in a microwave or oven.

- Never leave heated stones on bare skin without checking with the client.
- Avoid hot stones on broken skin, areas of reduced sensation and over varicose veins.
- Check with a doctor first if pregnant, diabetic, or with circulatory or heart conditions.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Storage: Store clean and dry in their box or a soft bag, away from knocks that could chip the stones.
