Our Refined Cocoa Butter is 100% pure cocoa butter from the seeds of the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao), deodorised to remove most of the natural chocolate aroma. It is a hard, pale yellow to tan butter that melts at about skin temperature.
Cocoa butter has been used for generations to keep skin feeling soft and supple. It gives a rich, smooth feel and is a favourite in homemade lip balms and body butters, where it adds firmness. With most of the chocolate scent removed, it lets your own essential oils come through.

Uses
- On its ownWarm a small piece between your hands until it melts, then smooth over dry skin.
- Whipped body butterMelt gently with a softer butter such as shea or mango and a liquid oil like sweet almond, cool until it starts to set, then whip.
- Lip balmMelt together with beeswax and a little oil for a firm, smooth homemade lip balm.

Safety & storage
- For external use only. Do not swallow.
- Patch test on a small area of skin before first use, and stop using it if irritation occurs.
- Keep away from the eyes and out of reach of children and pets.
- Melted cocoa butter is hot and can burn. Melt gently in a double boiler, never over a direct flame, and never leave it unattended.
Storage: Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
