Lime essential oil is cold pressed from the peel of Citrus aurantifolia, sourced from Italy. It has a bright, zesty, lemony citrus aroma with a slightly sweet edge, and acts as a lively top note.
Its fresh, energising scent is traditionally associated in aromatherapy with lifting the mood and refreshing a tired mind, and it is a favourite for freshening the air and brightening the atmosphere at home, especially during seasonal changes. It pairs well with florals and other citrus. Cold-pressed lime is phototoxic, so avoid sun or UV exposure on treated skin for 12 hours after use.

Uses
- Diffuser or vaporiserAdd 3–5 drops to your diffuser or oil burner with water for a bright, energising room aroma, on its own or with bergamot or ylang ylang.
- BathMix 2–3 drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or unscented bath base first, then add it to a warm bath. Never add undiluted essential oil to bath water.
- Massage and aromatherapyIf you use it in massage, aromatherapy or other skin applications, always dilute it in a carrier oil at around 1% (roughly 6 drops per 30ml). Avoid sun or UV exposure on treated skin for 12 hours. Patch test first.

Safety & storage
- For external use only. Do not take internally.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin. Always dilute in a carrier oil.
- Cold-pressed Lime is phototoxic. Avoid sun or UV exposure on treated skin for at least 12 hours. It is also a mild skin irritant and sensitiser. Patch test the diluted blend on a small area for 24 hours before full use.
- Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for babies and young children, unless advised by a qualified practitioner.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Storage: Store tightly capped in the original dark glass bottle, away from heat and direct sunlight.
