Description
Macadamia Nut Oil is cold-pressed from macadamia nuts. It is a pale yellow oil with a mild, slightly nutty scent and a rich yet surprisingly quick-absorbing feel, which is why it is sometimes called the vanishing oil. It is naturally high in palmitoleic acid, a fatty acid also found in the skin's own oils.
It is prized as a smooth massage oil and a nourishing body oil for dry or mature-feeling skin, leaving it soft without a greasy finish. Its gentle nature makes it a popular choice for massaging sensitive or older skin, and it is a lovely base for essential oils.
- Rich yet quick-absorbing
- Naturally high in palmitoleic acid
- Leaves dry skin feeling soft and supple
- Smooth, gentle glide for massage
Pairs well with: Jojoba, grapeseed, lavender, chamomile, rose geranium and frankincense
