Meadowfoam Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of meadowfoam (Limnanthes alba). It is a pale yellow oil with a faint scent and a light, silky feel that absorbs without leaving a greasy residue. Made up of over 98% long-chain fatty acids, it is one of the most stable plant oils available.
It is popular for helping skin hold onto moisture, leaving it soft and smooth, and as a finishing oil that adds shine and softness to hair. Because it keeps so well, many people add a little to blends of more delicate oils such as rosehip, and it makes an easy base for essential oils.

Uses
- Skin and body careSmooth a few drops over damp skin to help lock in moisture.
- Hair careRub a drop or two between your palms and smooth over the ends for shine.
- With essential oilsAdd 6–12 drops of essential oil per 30ml (1–2%) for a silky face or body blend.
